About the speaker:
Vania Djohan Salim, a mother of 2 adult disciples and a grandmother, has been serving in the ministry for over 30 years. As a WML, she also pioneered Christian schools and fun community projects.
She grew up in Sumatera Island-Indonesia, and later pursued higher education in the United States. In the early 1990s, she and her husband, Harliem Salim, became Christians in Chicago. They both made the decision to return to Indonesia to serve in full-time ministry in 1994.
Since 1995, she has dedicated her life to ministry work, contributing to the growth and development of churches across Indonesia and Southeast Asia. God raised them up to lead Indonesia end of 1996 until they resigned from their leading position last year and shifted role to developing leaders, strengthening churches, training future youth leaders.
She has been married for 33 years, and together with her husband, she played a key leadership role in building and strengthening church communities nationwide, helping expand the ministry into dozens of churches and thousands of members across the SEA region.
